Mark Ledwell is a highly respected business and legal professional with over 35 years of experience advising on complex infrastructure, energy, agri-food, and financing transactions. A native of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Mark grew up in Charlottetown and has maintained strong roots in the Atlantic region throughout a national and international career.

A graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island, Mark went on to complete graduate studies at both Queen’s University and the University of Victoria, laying the foundation for a career that has spanned Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East. He has practiced law in major markets including Toronto and London, England, where he worked on global infrastructure and development projects. Mark’s early legal career included a central role in transformative Atlantic Canadian infrastructure projects such as the Confederation Bridge and the New Brunswick Trans-Canada Highway.

Mark served as Managing Partner of Gowling WLG’s Toronto and London offices, where he led multidisciplinary teams and advised clients across sectors—from cleantech and energy to real estate, mining, financial services, agri-food, and technology. A skilled negotiator and strategic thinker, Mark is known for his ability to bring diverse stakeholders together and guide large-scale projects to successful completion.

In addition to his business and legal leadership, Mark is committed to community engagement. He currently serves as Chair of the Board at the Holland College Foundation and has contributed to a variety of educational, economic development, and charitable initiatives across Atlantic Canada over the years. His leadership style is empowering and inclusive.

Mark currently resides in Keppoch, PEI with his wife, Monica Driscoll and their dog, Wilfie.
